The school built like most of the area after the 2nd world war is a traditional build single storey structure with red brick stock finish and tiled pitched roof on the classrooms and flat roof over the corridors.
The area child population has expanded to allow for a new secondary school this existing school was expanded to allow for the primary school having an additional form entry to serve the new secondary school close by. The classrooms were extended to meet BB99 guidelines for classrooms sizes and break out rooms and offices.
Due to the small scale of the project and complexity of integrating small extensions in various areas of the building a traditional contract was chosen as it had to be controlled work commenced during school term.
The extensions whilst small future proofed the school for another 70 years and provided much needed additional facilities and nursery places to a popular school.
